Yes. The S3 bucket is in your own AWS account, so the backups sit in whichever region you created the bucket in.
Back up Procore, Autodesk Forma and Aconex projects to Amazon S3 in your own AWS account.
SIINC writes backups of Procore, Autodesk Forma and BIM 360, and Oracle Aconex projects straight into an Amazon S3 bucket in your own AWS account and region. Your lifecycle rules, retention and access policies apply as normal, and AWS bills you for the storage at your own rates.

What does SIINC write into an Amazon S3 bucket?
The original files with their revisions, plus JSON metadata for each record, encrypted and laid out in a documented folder structure you can read with standard AWS tools. The first run is a Full backup of everything in scope. After that, Sync runs add only what changed since the last run, hourly as standard, and records deleted in the platform are kept for the term of your plan.
Procore drawings and daily logs, Autodesk Forma issues and RFIs, and Aconex mail and documents all land in the same kind of place: a bucket your company controls, not a store held by SIINC or by the platform.
Why keep construction backups in your own AWS account?
Because the rules for the copy are then yours, not your backup vendor's. The S3 bucket sits in your AWS account, so you choose the region and your own retention, lifecycle, immutability and access policies apply to SIINC backups as they do to anything else you store.
Amazon S3 has its own controls for records that must not change. AWS says S3 Object Lock stores objects write once, read many, so they cannot be changed or deleted until a retention period ends, and Object Lock only works in buckets with versioning turned on. SIINC works with S3 Object Lock turned on, and settings like these belong to your AWS account and stay under your own governance.

Reading S3 backups with or without SIINC
The Procore Workbench, Autodesk Portal and Aconex Portal read straight from your S3 bucket, so your team can search a project and download records without a platform login. The backups are stored as files and records you can read with standard AWS tools, so the copy stays useful even without SIINC.
What you need to set up Amazon S3
An S3 bucket in your AWS account, in the region you choose, and credentials with write access to it. There are no agents to install and nothing runs on your network.
How SIINC checks an S3 bucket before the first backup
SIINC runs a write test before it saves the storage connection. If the credentials cannot write to the bucket, you find out while setting up, not after the first scheduled run.
Once the connection is saved, every backup run is recorded with its scope, size, warnings and errors, and summaries are emailed to your team.
What it costs to keep SIINC backups in Amazon S3
Two separate bills. AWS charges you for the S3 storage directly, at your own rates, in your own account. SIINC charges per GB per month for the service, portals, scheduling, monitoring and support on the data it backs up.
